Embassy Dinner, 22nd September 2014

We had a great evening at the residence of the Irish Ambassador to celebrate a successful season for Copenhagen GAA. There were also a few celebrations for Kerry's All-Ireland success the day before, while the rest of us discussed how we could dethrone the Kingdom next season. There was also a few live performances by some of our members: Fionn and Ciarán did a lovely duet of the Fields of Athenry, while Mark had a few solo songs. More to come at the Christmas Party and videos can be obtained at the right price! A big thanks to Brendan and Margaret Scannell for hosting us (

Eurovision star Kasey visits Copenhagen GAA. 4th May 2014

Ireland's Eurovision contestant Kasey Smith came by to get some Gealic football tips from the squad. Meanwhile Copenhagen GAA are tipping Kasey to do the business for Ireland later on in the week. It was a fun afternoon with cake and coffee and loads of laughter as we showed our moves (or lack of them!) during the photoshoot. Thanks for everyone who took part and to Kasey and her crew for droping by.

Held og lykke på lørdag Kasey!

We are having a race night to for Copenahgen GAA in Kennedy’s bar on the 31st of August. It will be a night in the bar with some simulated horse racing to enjoy, so members and non-members feel free to come along!

We are also looking for people to buy a horse! It’s only 30 DKK to buy and you can give the horse your very own name, so don’t forget to be creative like Hoof Hearted or Norfolk Enchants. There will be prizes for the winning owners such as wine, spirits, and that kind of thing. You don't have to be there to win these prizes. More details are available in the Pdf files below.

Feel free to come and join the race night (even if you don’t own a horse) and also, if you know anyone who would like to own a horse for a day, then feel free to let them know J!

3-4 August 2013

So, it's that time of year folks, the football is really hotting up. Four top notch quarter finals to be played on the hallowed turf of Croke Park this weekend. So, it's time that the players, members, fans, families, friends, acquaintances and stalkers of Copenhagen GAA got themselves down to one of their trusty local Irish bar's, and shouted for their flavour of the day. Cancel the beach trip, forget about the gym, leave the kids with the neighbours, bring the dog along etc etc.. The plan is, we meet in The Globe on Saturday, and Kennedy's on Sunday.

Match times (Danish time):
  1. Saturday
    1. Monaghan v Tyrone, 6pm
    2. Deadly Dublin v Competent Cork, 8pm
  2. Sunday
    1. Killer Kerry v Cavan, 3pm
    2. Mighty Mayo v Donegal, 5pm

Summer BBQ 2013 (24 June)

The next social event taking place is a summer barbeque on the 24th of June. We will meet as usual for training at 18:00, but at approximately 19:00 we will enjoy a casual mixed game between the men’s and ladies’ teams, followed by a barbeque.
